CCS: Problems with the '~' symbol in CCS9

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

Formerly, I've been using the keyboard combination ALTGR+4 followed by any character, like space, to get the '~' character. This character is very useful to negate bitwise a particular register or variable. In the Spanish kayboard, this is the only method (apart from ALT+126 in the numeric keypad).

But in CCS 9, this combination doesn't seem to work, at least not in all computers. Is this a bug, or I've misconfigured something?

Thanks,

Manuel Perales

  • Manuel,

Unfortunately I can't precisely tell why the AltGr+4 does not work for you - did anything change between v8 and v9?

I was looking at the list of key bindings on Eclipse and there is nothing mapped to Alt+4 or AltGr+4.

Several references point to the original Alt+126 and it surely works here on my Brazilian-ABNT keyboard. Unfortunately I can't try to reproduce this here as the keyboard has a tilde key and the AltGr+4 gives £ not ~.

Since you mentioned some hosts work and others not, perhaps this may be a system-wide configuration. I am pretty sure you already looked at the Control Panel settings but I have to ask if you already checked if the configurations on all hosts are matched.

Unfortunately at this point I don't have any other ideas. Sorry.

Hopefully some other developer can provide additional ideas.

    Regards,

    Rafael
