CCS/TMS320F2812: HOW TO CONNECT eZdspF2812 to LAPTOP??

Is this the board you have?

If so that board is very old and connects to the PC with a parallel port cable.  Thus you would not be able to connect it that way.  Instead you would have to use an external debug probe and connect the probe to the 14-pin JTAG header that is on the board and then connect the debug probe to your laptop.

Our current low cost debug probe is the xds110: TMDSEMU110-U

Alternatively you could find an even cheaper xds100v2 from a distributor.
