Compiler/MSP432P401R: gmake: *** [p.a.m on msp432.out] Error 1

I presume you have based your project on an example from TI.  Where does this example come from?  That will tell me which experts I need to contact.

In the meantime, here is something to consider.  According to this discussion on Stackoverflow, you should use the linker option --specs=nosys.specs.

project menu >> properties >> GNU Linker >> Miscellaneous >> other flags >> add "--specs=nosys.specs"

this solved my issue.
