we got a AM571x EVM board, want to develop code, download and debug with CCS like the way of TMS570, but found it different, The received package only with a USB cable, does the download way changed to USB cable.?

also , the HALCoGen 04.07.01 seems can't auto generate AM571x driver code, are there another version for AM571?

could help instruct how to config the download cable in CCS, I tried every connection way, all faild, and it seems the network printed in quick start guide not available.

AM571x devices are not supported in HALCoGen, you must use Code Composed Studio and one of the provided SDK's: http://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM57X

unfortunately, I still met trouble, it seems I need to download and install ti-processor-sdk-rtos-am57xx-evm-06.01.00.08-Windows-x86-Install.exe

for my EVM board. displayed on http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/AM57X/latest/index_FDS.html,

but after I download it, it can't run on my win10 system, Click run item has no response, are there any requirements for windows? or conflict with the installed CCS, my installed CCS version is 9.1.0.00010

I'm unaware of any special requirements for installing PRSDK on Windows 10.

thanks, under the instruction of the doc, I just build a hello world project with CCS and it run.

Since out target is to build a bare metal project with various driver run which can be tested. I tried to build pdk driver(gpio) project with CCS.

unfortunately, the instruction link seems invalid.

where I can't find any hint of the topic again.

I tried to run command in windows console

C:\ti\pdk_am57xx_1_0_16\packages>pdkProjectCreate.bat AM571x idkAM571x little gpio example arm

only got error as below

Detecting all projects in PDK and importing them in the workspace C:\ti\pdk_am57xx_1_0_16\packages\\MyExampleProjects
can't find files
No projects detected

could help give more instructions?

Can you please try one of the following:

pdkprojectcreate AM571x idkAM571x little gpio test arm

pdkprojectcreate AM571x idkAM571x little gpio all arm

thank for reply it run,

but after import the created project into CCS , it show a RTSC project(not CCS project like before), though can be compiled successfully, but can't be download and debug,

error show as

unable to launch CCS debug-session based on current selection

are there any instructions or docs on how to debug a RTSC project? thanks!

Hi,

Please see:

Now that you're able to generate and build the project, you should be able to connect to your board via JTAG and load the code.

Instructions on setting up the board are located here: http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/docs/06_01_00_08/rtos/index_how_to_guides.html#tmdxidk5728-hardware-setup

After connecting to A15_0, you should be able to load the code. In CCS:

Click on A15_0 in Debug window.
Select Run->Load->Load Program.
