Hi Guys!

I am searching for a DSP for motor control application with clock speed of 150 MHz or more but no of pins should be less, may be 56 or 64 or lesser with atleast 6 ADCS and 6 PWM ports.

Please suggest.

I have tried TMS320F28335 and TMS320F28035.

Former is 150 MHz but large number of pins. Latter is lesser number of pins but 60 MHz.

I want less pins and High speed.

Please suggest.

Best solution is probably TMS320F280049

this is 100 MHz, but has a secondary 100 MHz control law accelerator and Trigonometric Math Unit

Available in 56, 64, and 100 pins.

TMS320F280049 seems a good option.

Going further, which CCS version supports it ?

Also, will XDS100V2 emulator supports it ?

I'm not sure when CCS support started for F28004x, but any of the recent free versions will work.

Yes, you can use XDS100v2

I could not locate TMS320F28004x in the drop down menu of CCS 6.0.

I think CCS support not there for F28004x.

CCS 6 is many years old.

I believe support for F28004x started in v8, and v9 is currently what is available.

Yes, CCS 9.3.0 is supporting F28004x.

But Control Suite folder corresponding to it is empty.

Does that mean Control Suite support not there for F28004x???

If that is the case than how to program it......
