Compiler/DLP-7970ABP: SLOC297C & SLOA227b Sample Code Build Issue.

Hi,

I am facing issue while trying to build these sample code. I am using the Code Composer Studio Version: 9.2.0.00013.

While building it is showing make not found in path error. The project properties is showing some compiler mismatch error as shown in the attached image.

I tried uninstall and install the mentioned compiler, but seems it is not installed properly. Hope there is some issue. I tried to install using install new software option under help menu.

Please let me know ASAP.

You can still install MSP430 compiler version 4.4.4 in CCS. Please see this forum thread for guidance.

I tried the workaround but it doesn't seem to work for me.

I tried to manually install the CCS update from the location %CCS_INSTALL_DIR%/ccs/eclipse/downloads/ccs_update_9.2.0.00013 but it shows me some unknown error. I tried running it in administrator mode too but same issue. Please refer the attached image.

Please help me. Let me know if I am doing something wrong.

Sunil,

If you tried installing the MSP430 compiler tools v4.4.4 from the Help->Install New Software, then it should have put a file named ti_cgt_msp430_4.4.4_windows_installer.exe in the <your_ccs_install_dir>/ccs/eclipse/downloads/ directory. Run just that executable and when prompted, specify the Destination Directory to be <your_ccs_install_dir>/ccs/tools/compiler/ti-cgt-msp430_<version numbers>.

That should install the compiler tools. Let us know if this helps.
