Dear sir / madam,

I am in the last stage of my project. I have written a c program to calculate the DCT coefficients, and executed it using ccstudio and the target device is TMS320C6713. I have to calculate the memory used to do the calculations that have been written in the c program and put those in my results. Looking forward for your reply.

Dharshak,

The way to calculate memory usage is entirely dependent on the number of coefficients (128, 256...), the size of each one (8, 16, 32, 64 bits...) and the type of buffering (if any) used by your algorithm (single, double, etc?). If you already built your code and just want to inspect how much memory is being used by the coefficients alone and any buffers allocated statically (i.e., not with malloc), I suggest checking the linker map file (extension .map) that contains all memory regions, sections and their usage.

In CCSv4 this file is created automatically by default, but in CCSv3.3 check the post below that shows where to find this option
