CCS: "the selection cannot be launched and there are no recent launches" can someone help me further?

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am a begineer with CCS
so I'm a student at the university, I have to develop a code

I just installed the CCS v9, and first opened the code .. & encounter this problem: every time i press the debug .. i get this message:
"the selection cannot be launched and there are no recent launches"

can someone help me further?

Make sure you have a valid active executable project selected in the Project Explorer view, and that a target configuration file is specified.
