CCS/MSP432E401Y: Watch Expression view in CCS not visible

For some reason, I can no longer open the "Watch Expressions" view in CCS.

I am compiling for MSP432, CCS 9.3.0.000012

If I am actively debugging a target, I used to be able to click "Window -> Show View -> Expresssions" and it would open a Watch Expression view, where I could see real time values of variables.

Now, I click that, and nothing happens.

If I go to "Window -> Show View -> Other -> Debug" and look a the list of choices, "Expressions" is greyed-out.

Any idea?

Viktorija,

I wonder if there is some glitch on your current workspace. Can you try to follow the troubleshooting tips mentioned in section 9.4 and sections 8.7.3, 9.7.4 and 9.7.5 of the CCS User's Guide at:

Update from customer:

I managed to find a work-around. If I simply go Window -> New Window, it creates an entire new fresh set of windows (I then closed the original windows), and the functionality is restored. This also cleared out some other weird behavior I was seeing from time to time, so perhaps some data structure had gotten corrupted, and creating a New Window fixes that.
