CCS/CODECOMPOSER: Resource Explorer

Part Number: CODECOMPOSER

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I'm using CCS Version 8.3.1.00004

I get the following error when attempting to bring up Resource Explorer:

Warning! Not connected to the cloud server. Working in offline mode.

I have followed the steps in troubleshooting guide, but it still does not working.

I have updated  the Resource Explorer component TIREX Desktop to version 3.7.0.201903271703 with the same result.

Thanks,

Joël

Since you were able to update Resource Explorer, I'm going to guess that the internet connection with CCS is fine. But I just want to confirm a few things. Are you able to open App Center ok? When you open the Getting Started view, can you play the embedded video ok (it should be for CCS v9.3. If you see CCS v6 beta mentioned, then something is wrong)?

    Thanks

  • Hello Ki,

I'm able to open App Center and the video correspond well to the CCS v9.3.

But i can't always connect to Resource Explorer (message Warning! Not connected to the cloud server. Working in offline mode.)

The cloud button is crossed out and when I click on I obtain the same screen.

    Thanks,

    Joël

  • Thanks. CCS's connectivity to the internet seems fine. It is an issues specific to Resource Explorer.

If you have not done so already, can you again clear out the Resource Explorer cache and also the workspace cache?

If that does not help, please provide the log file in: C:\Users\a<username>\ti\tirex-localserver-3.7.0\.logs

    Thanks

    ki

  • Hello,

I again deleted the two folders but without result.

So I have attach the logs file

    Thanks,

    Joël

  • Thank you. The log was helpful in our analysis.

The root cause of the error appears to be detailed in line 220. According to our Resource Explorer expert, there appears to be an issue with your local proxy. It appears you are using Squid, a proxy and web caching service. It is with this that authentication fails and access is denied:

Sorry, you are not currently allowed to request http://dev.ti.com/tirex/api/serverstate from this cache until you have authenticated yourself.

The above message is coming from Squid.

We don't know too much about Squid to offer many suggestions. But it appears that some kind of configuration must be done in your end to allow access.

    ki

  • Hello Ki,

Thanks to your answer, I asked our network administrator and he was able to configure our proxy to access to all of your URLs.

    Now all is OK.

    Thank you for all !!!
