CCS/MSP430F5418A: Error: output file "XXXXXX.out" exceeds code size limit

Hello

I am facing error in CCS6.2 that . out file can not generated as the code size exceeds size limit.

The compiler used is TI v15.12.3.LTS

I am using MSP430F5418A controller which is having 128KB program memory. I am developing code for one of our product. At some point even I try to add a single line of code the compiler is unable to compiler it successfully. Before it the code compiles successfully. I can see the memory allocation in CCS, it shows I have enough memory available to add Code. Please refer the below photo. I want to add more functions in my code but unable to do it as the compiler gives the error.

Please suggest me how to overcome such issues. Is it related with compiler version?

I'm pretty sure the "code size limit" message, along with the 32KB size in FLASH2, points to the code-size-limited license for CCS pre-v7. Apparently there are replacement license files for earlier versions. Or you can upgrade CCS.

Bruce is right, you must have the code-size limited license.

Alternatively you can update to a newer version of CCS.
