CCS/CCSTUDIO: Deleting one path from CCS Build --> GNU Compiler --> Directories "Include Path", deletes all the paths

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

My Code composer Studio on Linux Mint is presenting a very anoing bug. If i try to delete one path from the Compiler or Link directories, code composer deletes all the paths. I tried to reinstall the software, but the problem persists. Any solution?

Thanks,

Gustavo Denardin

  • I am using Code Composer Studio Version: 9.3.0.00012.

  • Gustavo,

I ran into that last week, but it was with an old project that had all sorts of problems with it. Newer projects did not exibit this behaviour for me.

Can you try by creating a project using the Wizard (or imported from TI Resource Explorer) and see if the issue persists?

My tests were done with Ubuntu 18.04 (we don't officially support Mint), but both are Debian-based distros and should not differ too much (unless you are using a bleeding edge version).

    Regards,

    Rafael

  • Gustavo,

I think I was confused by the number of projects and versions in my host. I see the same behaviour as you with CCSv9.2.0 and 9.3.0. CCSv9.1.0 works fine.

I will confirm a few details here and report back.

    Regards,

    Rafael

  • Gustavo,

We were able to confirm the bug - strange how many versions it went unnoticed.

At any rate, I filed the bug report EXT_EP-9678. Please check its status in the link SIR in my signature below.

    Unfortunately there is no workaround.

    I apologize for the inconvenience,

    Rafael

  • Rafael, thank you for the quick reply.

Actually there is a workaround, which is manually edit the file .cproject.

Anyway, i will wait for a new version with the correction for such bug.

    Best regards,

    Gustavo
