Hello,

I'm facing the following error when I try the procedure described in psdk_rtos_auto_j7_06_01_01_12/psdk_rtos_auto/docs/user_guide/ccs_setup_j721e.html#using-ccs-debug-with-linux-on-a72:

"C66xx_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1060 @ 0x0) Device is not responding to the request. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 8.4.0.00006)"

I managed to make it work a few days ago, but now I cannot connect to the C66 core 0 any longer. I tried to reboot the J721EX EVM board, create a new workspace and recreate the target configuration file, without success. Strangely, I also tried to connect to the C66 core 1, Cortex-R5 and Cortex-A72 and they work properly.

Hello Don,

I'm running Ubuntu 18.04.4 and CCS 9.3.0.00012.

The board is J721EX SOMG01EVM, plugged to its testing board.

I just wondered what the error code meant, for now I'm work arounding by running in the C66 core 1.

Thanks for the link. This is useful.

What happened is that CCS was able again to connect to the C66 core 1. After debugging in the C66 core 2, I found some memory leaks when running custom kernels. I don't think that the leaks happened at reboot, rather only when my kernels ran.

So, whatever happened seems solved now, maybe after a few firmware rsync and power-cycles.
