Hi,

Is it possible to get XDS510USB emulation working with TMDXEVM8168DDR2 and CCSv4.2.1.x?

- Target config seems to be missing for that CPU in CCSv4.2.1.

What are the recommended steps to get a functional setup for C6A816x/AM389x? For instance, what is supplied from TI vs SpectrumDigital in terms of GEL files etc?

Magnus,

There are a couple ways to get the device files to show up. One is to install with a special password (can't publish in this forum), the other is to install a newer emulation package where the 816x files do not require the password any longer. Note that the link below won't be active until ~10:30am eastern.

Open a command line and invoke ti_emupack_setup_<version>.exe
Install location would be YOUR_CCS_DIR/ccsv4

The device will be called something like TI816x. GEL files for the EVM are available from Spectrum digital. http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/netra/revb/

WRT to CCSv5, the new emulation package will be shipped with CCSv5.0.1. A release candidate is already available today, the final RTM version of CCSv5.0.1 will be available end of next week.
