CCS v5 on Linux - Unable to create project

Hi all,

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10, and I have installed CCS V5 by executing the setup__.bin file extracted from the tar archive.

Changed permissions to +w for the install directory as mentioned on the wiki page.

Now the problem is that in File>New i don't get "New CCS Project". Instead i only see entries which appear to be only native eclipse entries. Am I missing something here?

Thanks!

  • Hi all...

I managed to get it working by installing eclipse as notmal user (sudo apt-get install eclipse) and then installing via the normal procedure. Will try this on a fresh machine and verify.

Now I have Eclipse with XDS-100 hardware debugging working for a 320F2812 board I'm using.

    Thanks,

    Abhijit
