CCS: CCS 9.3: No repository found for ARM GCC Compiler Tools update to 9.2.1.2019-q4-major

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Similar error when trying to update ARM GCC Compiler Tools to 9.2.1.2019-q4-major on CCS 9.3.0.00012.

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: org.eclipse.update.feature,com.ti.gcc.arm.win32,9.2.1.2019-q4-major
No repository found containing: binary,com.ti.gcc.arm.win32_root,9.2.1.2019-q4-major

I went through the entire procedure 9.3.5. Updates fail with No repository found or Connection reset or artifact for binary not available errors, to no avail.

What other options do I have to proceed with the update? Thank you!

  • Olivier,

Strange. I only see version 6.3.1-2017q1 avaialble on the menu Help --> GCC ARM Compiler Tools Updates

Where are you getting version 9.2.1.2019? Did you apply or install any updates?

    Regards,

    Rafael

  • I don't thing so. The package is already installed.

Actually, CCS prompts me for the update automatically.

The package is also available on the Windows > Install New Software.

  • Olivier,

I finally found that. It seems you installed the GCC from the CCS App Center, right? If so, can you try to go there and see if you can update from there?

I got a somewhat strange issue in App Center (it did not allow me to install version 9 of the GCC, saying it was up-to-date) but in my case I was able to restore the functionality by clearing the cache.

I will try to see if I can find additional tips to reprodce this here.

    Regards,

    Rafael

  • Good catch! Yes, I installed  GCC from the CCS App Center a long time ago.

Actually, I am no longer using the CCS App Center so I've forgot to check this place too.

After performing the update through the App Center, no more automatic update pops up.

Maybe this is a good opportunity to consolidate all the different plug-in managers into a single one.

Case closed: thank you for your help!
