CCS: Code Composer update Segger JLINK error message

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SEGGER, CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Error when installing CCS updates shown in inserted jpeg file. I am not using the SEGGER hardware but would like to clear this up.

I am currently running  CCS Version 9.3.0.00012. on a windows 10 laptop.

Under installed software, the SEGGER references are:

SEGGER J-Link Support (Windows x84_64).  Version  6.56.0.0

SEGGER J-Link USB Driver   Version 1.0.1.0

Thanks

David

  • Hi,

I just installed this update on my CCSv9.3.0 and I didn't see this issue.

One detail about the error message that caught my attention is the different CCS directory that aludes to a CCSv9.0.1. Have you been performing updates since this version?

At any rate, if the Segger update was properly installed, perhaps something was left behind from the install. In this case, I suspect that something was left behind on the updater cache. Can you check section 9.3.4 of the CCS User's Guide at:

    https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/users_guide/index.html

I couldn't find any discussions about this specific error but I will report back in case I find anything relevant .

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • Hi Rafael,

I have been updating since CCSv9.0.1 and everytime i get an update error message but i do get the program to start up again.

I noticed that i have 3 shortcuts to CCS in the v9.0.1 folder and they all point to "C:\ti\ccs901\ccs\eclipse\ccstudio.exe" which

    is a 346 KB file dated  8/28/2019.

    Thanks
