CCS/CC3235S: Need help to make my energy meter, using cc3235s with ADE9153A.

Part Number: CC3235S

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi TI,

Actually i am making single phase energy meter using ADE9153A shield with my CC3235S MCU. till now i am able to get all the values like , RMS value of the current , RMS Value of the voltage, Active power, Reactive power, Apparent power, power factor, frequency and temperature as well.

so i have power in Watt. simply i can convert it into KWh and one KWh is equal to one unit , and one unit could be multiplied by per unit price and bill is ready, but where i am confused is , suppose i am charging a battery pack and measuring the consumed energy by charger by using my energy meter, in that case at very beginning of the charging battery pack bill take more current or more Amp. and later on it will be reduced as soon as battery charging will be increased. like that there wouldn't be equal power consumption during one hour.

and my program is giving me consuming power at that point of time. so i have following questions.

1) how should i add that power for complete hour that is available at that point of the time.?

2) should i use average, if yes , then how many reading should i take during one hour, or what would be the interval time of taking sample during one hour.?

3) what is the standard way of energy meter bill calculation?

because , it's a variable load like motor, most of the time for easy calculation we used to say that convert hp into watt then watt in kw and then into kwh and it is one unit ,  but i think this is not the correct calculation because power consumption of the motor is depend on the load more load more power consumption less load less power consumption.

like this if i am using full capacity of the battery and according to that i am calculating power , i think that's not the correct way.

please clear my confusion, and please let me know what is the absolute way of payment bill calculation for energy meter.

Thanks in advance
