CCS/IWR6843ISK-ODS: IWR 6843 ISK - ODS: Overhead PeopleCounitng

Hi,

Hardware / Software used:

IWR 6843 ISK - ODS (ES 1.0)

mmWave Industrial ToolBox - 3.6.1
mmWave SDK - 3.2.1.2

CCS version - 8.3.1

Problem Statement:

I am trying to do People Tracking and Stances by using the overhead people counting lab. When i run the lab in debug mode, it shows some errors related to PRSC module.

Please help me to resolve this issue..

    Hi Priyanka,

    Did you:

    1) successfully flash the CCS Debug firmware (xwr68xx_ccsdebug.bin) to the device?

    2) Have the SOP2 jumper open?

    Looks like the debug image flashed fine. After you open the SOP2 jumper and start a debug session, can you connect to both cores?

    Yes, SOP 2 jumper is opened once flashing has done. For flashing mode  only SOP 2 jumper was closed.

    After this created & launched the target configuration. 

    Connected to target and loaded the program properly. 

    Once i click on Run button, it shows the error in console which i have mentioned  above.

    Note that you may need to do a full power cycle of the board before starting the debug session

    Can you provide the executables for both the R4 and C674x that you are loading to the target?

    I am loading those executables from my workspace. 

      DSS Path: C:\Users\spriyanka\workspace_v8\ods_pplcount_dss_68xx\Debug\ods_pplcount_dss_68xx.xe674

    Below attached is the target file loading for C674x

    ods_pplcount_dss_68xx.zip

    MSS Path: C:\Users\spriyanka\workspace_v8\ods_pplcount_mss_68xx\Debug\ods_pplcount_mss_68xx.xer4f

    Thank you. 

    I started a debug session in CCSv8.3.1 for my 6843ISK, grouped the cores, connected to each core, and loaded the DSS code, then the MSS code. Then I did a group run and it seems to work ok.

    Are those the same steps you did? I also flash the debug firmware from SDK 3.2.1.2 on my ES 1.0 target.

    I did notice that my TI emulators pack version is slightly newer than yours. You may want to update it. 

    I also attached the ccxml file I am using:

    and if possible share me the TI emulator pack update steps or link to update it.

    That is correct, I have ES1 device

    Thanks for your helping, am updating TI emulator version by refering the above given link.
    Once it is updated successfully, i will do the run the lab again.

    That looks like an invalid site. I'm not sure where that came from.

    I would do a targeted update check. Use the 'Help -> Install New Software' option and select the site highlighted below:

    Followed your given steps, it shows problem with binary is not available for CCS V8.3.1

    Hi,

    Thank you for the kind support.

    Debug has done properly with your sugesstions.

    But when i try to run the oob_parser, sensor_Start is not happened and there is not receiving any data from data port.

    Glad to hear that debug is now working properly.
