CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC1310: CCS Debugging Multiple XDS 110 USB Debug Probes: only 1 probe "board reset completes"

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1310
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1310

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

This is what my console output looks like:
Cortex_M3_0: GEL Output: Memory Map Initialization Complete. Cortex_M3_1: GEL Output: Memory Map Initialization Complete. Cortex_M3_2: GEL Output: Memory Map Initialization Complete. Cortex_M3_0: GEL Output: Board Reset Complete.

Included is a picture of my setup, but I followed: http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/sdto_ccs_multi-probe-debug.html

Any help would be appreciated thank you!

  • Hi,

Are all your boards properly connected, regardless of the message?

Unfortunately I don't have any CC1310/1350 boards here with me to validate the GEL file operation itself on these devices, but my CC2652 boards connect properly.

One aspect that is strange is that your Cortex_M3 cores are numbered sequentially, while in my case they all have the suffix _0 and the differentiator is done per debug probe. What version of CCS are you using? Did you apply any updates?

    Regards,

  • thank you for the reply! sorry for the late response, things got a bit hectic over here as i'm sure happened for all.

    in short: it works!

I'm not sure what the issue was as all my boards were connected properly (I was previously successfully uploading to them 1 by 1 by changing the probe serial number). I renamed my cortexs so that the output would be more meaningful. Here is a screenshot of what successful output looks like (it uploaded my code to all 3 boards im currently using).

I'm a little bothered by not knowing what the exact issue was, but happy it works now.

  • Hi,

I fully understand; the routine definitely changed a lot around here as well.

Thank you for reporting back the outcome of your scenario. I am glad that everything is working, although without apparent reason. Keep a close monitoring of the activities and please report back in case of any additional issues.

    Stay safe,

    Rafael
