CCS/CC3235S: Need help to program onboard EEPROM/MX25R3235F , to read write data in it.

Hi TI,

Recently I came to know that we have onboard MX25R3235F(EEPROM) serial flash that can be use for store data or read and write, i am using CC3235S launchpad, and i searched in simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_3_30_01_02 sdk provided by TI, but there is no support for EEPROM. so in that scenario i wanted to ask

1) Is there any derive or support program available ?

and according to design file of the board i searched out that serial flash is directly connected with MCU using spi mode. which is fine, but i am not able to understand if those are not coming to the header of the board then

2) how can i access/define those pin for my program usage?

let me know if i wrong at any point , and provide support to resolve this problem.

Hi,

External SPI flash is not intended for a direct access from application processor. For storing user files you should to use sl_ filesystem API. But be aware that SPI flash have limited number of write cycles (100k per 4KB sector).

Hi Sarju,

You are not supposed to access the flash directly. The CC3235 implements a secure file system on top of the flash and you can access it using the FS API (see chapter 7 of http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru455j/swru455j.pdf).
