CCS/TMDSCNCD28388D: Resource explorer error

Part Number: TMDSCNCD28388D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am trying to import an example program and I get the following error:

Error: Received message: "<html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8"/> <title>Error 400 Location cannot be resolved: &apos;C:/ti/c2000/C2000Ware_3_01_00_00_Software/driverlib/f2838x/examples/c28x/sci/CCS/sci_ex2_loopback_interrupts.projectspec&apos;!</title> </head> <body><h2>HTTP ERROR 400</h2> <p>Problem accessing /ide/importProject. Reason: <pre> Location cannot be resolved:

The file in question does exist, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

  • Bob,

Was C2000Ware installed from Resource Explorer or downloaded and installed separately?

I have seen issues with the C2000Ware installer where there is a step at the end that is supposed to rename a metadata folder to .metadata.  That fails and then causes issues with CCS and Resource Explorer.

There are a couple ways to fix this.  The first is to look in your C2000Ware installation folder and see if there is a metadata folder.  If there is, then try renaming to .metadata.

The other option is to remove C2000Ware and install it from Resource Explorer.

    Regards,

    John

  • Hi John,

Yes, they were installed separately but the folder is properly named '.metadata' as you said in your response.

Unfortunately this particular machine is not a Win10 machine so I have that working against me as well.

  • Bob,

The next thing to try would be to move your existing C2000Ware install somewhere else (or delete it) and to try installing C2000Ware from Resource Explorer.  I found a couple threads where people did that and it resolved the issue.

What version of CCS are you running?

    Regards,

    John

  • Thanks John,

I was in the process of doing exactly what you suggested when I saw your message.  Re-installed C2000Ware and everything seems to work fine.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Great.  I am going to follow up with the C2000 and Resource Explorer teams to see if we can figure out what is going on with detecting the C2000Ware version installed from ti.com
