I've installed CCS v5 and am trying to ultimately create a new codec server with a simple algorithm in that i will create. To do this I run "Tools"->"XDAIS Tools"->"GenAlg" and go through the motions to create an algorithm. Most options are left as defaults except for the algorithm name and company, the codegen tools directory, and the destination directory which I change.
Once I do this, I open the project that was created and try to build it. This is where I get the following errors:
C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv5\xdctools_3_20_06_81\gmake
"C:/Program Files/Texas Instruments/ccsv5/xdctools_3_20_06_81/xdc" XDCOPTIONS= XDCARGS="CGTOOLS_C64P=\"C:/Program Files/Texas Instruments/ccsv5/tools/compiler/c6000\"" --xdcpath="C:/Program Files/Texas Instruments/ccsv5/xdais_7_20_00_07/packages" release
cygwin warning:
MS-DOS style path detected: C:/DOCUME~1/ralph/LOCALS~1/Temp/make2108-1.sh
Preferred POSIX equivalent is: /cygdrive/c/DOCUME~1/ralph/LOCALS~1/Temp/make2108-1.sh
CYGWIN environment variable option "nodosfilewarning" turns off this warning.
Consult the user's guide for more details about POSIX paths:

making package.mak (because of package.bld) ...
gmake.exe: *** No rule to make target `release
'. Stop.
gmake: *** [all] Error 2
This is literally the default project yet it won't compile on CCS (the same options produce a successful compilation using the EZSDK on Linux). What is going wrong and how can I fix it? It looks like the setup for the Cygwin install that is made when CCS itself is installed is not quite right ("nodosfilewarning").
Thanks,
Ralph
P.S.
Can't wait for CCS on Linux.
