License Server Administration

I am trying to use the pre-configured license server as defined in Section 6.2.3. The licenselocation.txt file is installed in the ccsv4\DebugServer\license folder, but CCS always attempts to use the license in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\.TI\etc. How can I get the license in the DebugServer directory to be accessed? I am not using any of the Environment variables.

    Hi,

    As shown in section 6.2.1 of the same page, starting with CCSv4.1.3 the location of the <licenselocation.txt> file changed to the user area - this prevents issues with permissions and UAC in newer Windows versions.

    I am not sure if there is an additional step that is not documented (apart from the simple copy the file to the user area), but CCS should check the original location of the installed file automatically, since during installation there is no way to know which user/users are going to run CCS. 

    I will check some details and get back to you.
