Instances display of Variables and APIs when mouse pointed

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Hi all,

What setting in code composer allow me to view all declaration and definition instances of a variable or APIs as soon as I bring the mouse pointer on it. With the present setting of my project, I see this feature working well if the variable or API is declared locally in the file, but if the subject is outside the file and that file is not open, I don't the the list of the instances.

Please advice.

Thanks

  • Hi,

Which version of CCS are you using? The reason of my question is that some bugs were fixed in later releases (check the posts below)

    http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/p/43862/166532.aspx#166532

If you have an updated version of CCS and still sees similar issues as shown above, would you mind sending a small test case that reproduces this issue?

  • Hello Rafael,

I am using version 3.3.38.3. I can see the feature is working well on another project which is not created by me. On same code composer version (installed on my machine) one project is showing the feature other does not. I reckon there could be some project setting I may me missing..

    Thanks for helping me out.
