CCS/CCSTUDIO: ccs simulator get used cycles

Hi Experts:

i use the ccs simulator to estimate the function run time. in order to optimization the c66x run time，clear the TSCL TSCH before the funciton ，read it after the function。

but it have err ，the some funciton have an 327 cycles，other is 5727。the result below：

my quesion is:

1, why the two result is Very different？how to use it to estimate the function time？

2，have the other way to estimate the function time？

my simulator DSP is TMS320C6608 ，run on the CPU 0，the ccs vision is ccs 5.5

Hello,

I can't comment much about the TSCH/L counters. Perhaps start a separate thread in the DSP forum for that,.

Since you are using a simulator, you can use the CCS Function Profiler.
