C2000 v6 Beta code gen tools fail to install in CCS V5 on linux

Hello,

I am trying to set up ccs5 to work with the new f2806x picolo control stick. However, I get the following error message:

Cannot complete the install because some dependencies are not satisfiable
com.ti.cgt.c2000.6.0.feature.group [6.0.0.BETA1] cannot be installed in this environment because its filter is not applicable.

Any hints on how to fix this?

  • Henry,

When does this message come up?  Is this when you are installing the compiler or when trying to configure CCS to use the compiler.  I believe CCSv5.0.1 has the 5.2.9 compiler in it.

Where did you get the linux version of the 6.0 compiler?  Was it via the update manager in CCS?  I am wondering if this is actually pulling down the Windows package and not the Linux one as I don't think we have started posting an Linux compiler packages via update manager yet.

    Regards,

    John

This happens when I try to install the compiler via the update manager. Is there an error log I can look at to see if it is trying to pull down the windows version?

  • When it is downloading the update it will show the name of the file being downloaded. Below I can see that my windows install is downloading an exe.

I took a look at the update site backend and I only see the exe on it.  I don't see a package for Linux.  We may not be ready to send out updates for Linux with these early releases yet.  I will try to track down a Linux package for the C2000 6.0 compiler and I will send you a private message with the link.

    Regards,

    John

  • Yes it looks like we are not ready for doing updates for Linux yet.  I will file a defect to track this.  In the mean time I send you a private message with a link to the Linux installer for the compiler.  The message will come in the form of a friend request.

    Regards,

    John
