Hello,

I use XDS110 DEBUG PROBE (Black box) Product # TMDSEMU110-U.

After installing CCS9.3, the CCS ask for firmware update of the XDS110. After pressing update button the update fail.

Trying to use XDSDFU tool after sending command: xdsdfu -m the data is returned, but the green led is turned off and after that the XDS110 can not be detected on the bus.

How to update the firmware to the desired version 3.0.0.11.

The current version is 3.0.0.7.

In certain circumstances the XDS110 fails to perform the firmware update directly from the CCS view. The scenarios where this happens are still not yet fully characterized, thus in these cases we redirect the developer to perform the update manually from the command line as you hinted in your message.

If you have tried to change the USB port and the Debug Probe was not yet acknowledged by the host, then I would attempt to recover its bootloader. Please check the section Troubleshooting → Flashing the bootloader of the XDS110 page at:

up to now I never succeeded to update firmware via CCS, every time fail.

And always use the xdsdfu tool for this.

This time the problem was, different, the XDS does not want to enter in flashing mode with -m command.

I solved the problem grounding pin 97
