CCS/TMDX654IDKEVM: cannot load program onto A53 Core 0

Hi,

I have created a sample project with a minimal main.c that compiles and creates an .out file. However, when I try to debug and upload it via jtag onto A53 Core 0, it tells me

"Device functional clock appears to be off. Power-cycle the board..."

I have no idea what to look for. I have set the boot mode to 'sleep - no boot - debug', SW3[0..3] = 0000 and this did not help

Initial jtag configuration and connection verification works.

Okay I can now answer my own question for all those who are interested:

The startup is explained for the EVM, but not for the IDK. The steps are the same. Connect manually to with the target configuration file

and first connect to Core M3. Then it will initialize PLL and then connect to A53, which will initialize DDR4.

A link to this in the initial IDK steps whould not have been harmful and would have saved me a day of frustration. (The steps are not linux specific)
