CCS/TMS320F2812: Migrate project from CCSv3.3 to CCSv5.5

Part Number: TMS320F2812

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi Team,

I would like to get some assistance with our customer situation below:
The customer is trying to migrate his project from CCSv3.3 to CCSv5.5. The environment is compiled and linked already. The produced image just doesn't work as before. The customer is not sure if it's the Flash.cmd that needs to be updated or some other settings.

The customer already went through the link below when he start the migration:

Please let me know if you have any questions with the customer.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Why are they moving to CCSv5.5? That version is still old and unsupported. Is there a specific reason they need CCSv5.5? Is it for DSP/BIOS functionality?

I assume what the customer means by "doesn't work as before" is that the application does not run as expected. Without more details, it is hard to diagnose what happened. Please get as much details as possible, including:

    • clear description of the exact problem
    • are they using the same compiler version in v5.5 that they used with 3.3?
    • Are they using DSP/BIOS?
    • any more details that would be helpful

  • Hi Ki,

I will now be resolving this thread since the customer will not push through their CCS migration.

Thank you very much for your support.

    Regards,

    Jonathan
