Hello,

I'am working with Code Composer Studio Version 8.3.1 and Version 10.0. In both the compiler shows following error:

>> Compilation failure
subdir_rules.mk:23: recipe for target 'TAPAS_quick_start.obj' failed
>> C:/ti/Tapas_QuickStart_V1_1_beta/QuickStartV1_1/sw/solutions/instaspin_foc/src/TAPAS_quick_start.c, line 717:
INTERNAL ERROR: >>>Register allocation failed:
updateGlobalVariables_motor

This may be a serious problem. Please contact customer support with a
description of this problem and a sample of the source files that caused this
INTERNAL ERROR message to appear.

Attached you will find the source file. If necessary, the complete project can be gladly send per mail.

Thank you for submitting the C source. Unfortunately, I am unable to use it to reproduce the problem. I don't have all the header files which are included.

For the source file TAPAS_quick_start.c, please follow the directions in the article How to Submit a Compiler Test Case.

Hello George,

thanks for your help!

I followed the introduction in the article. In the process I noticed that the version of the compiler was: TI v19.6.0.STS

Changing it to compiler version: TI v20.2.1.LTS solves the problem!
