Hi There,

I am using CCS V10. I was looking to edit the build configuration settings in CCS.

1. How to edit the Build configuration

2. How to link between the functionality and the configuration written in that.

I could not relate and change the configuration. i see only name and description. However, in the example program, it has options called RAM and FLASH, based on which it selects the RAM mode or FLASH mode.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Hi Ki,

Thank you for your reply.

The link does not have the option to edit tor create the configuration. It has options just to create one with the available one as a superset.

it does not describe oh how actually it's done, instead guidance is available only on how to use it.

Could you please guide me further on how to create a custom configuration.

PS: I did see the videos mentioned in the links and that is now what I am looking for.

Sorry, its a typing mistake. It explains everything which I already tried and it did not solve my problem

I am trying to create a custom build configuration.

In the release configuration, it says optimization is enabled, which I do not want to enable. I could not find a way to update the same.

Mohan,

I'm still unclear what the issue is. After you create your new configuration, you can then modify the build setting for that configuration as you wish. Those changes would then be applied to the new configuration. If you wish to disable optimization, you can simply disable it in the compiler settings and when you apply the changes, it will be applied to the new configuration you created (assuming it is active).

Thank you Ki,

Now I understand, that whatever setting I do after creating a new configuration will be saved in the new configuration. This is what I was looking for.
