Dear sir/madam,

I have used TMS320C5509A in one of our custom board. The CCS version being used is CC8.3.1.

Previously s/w had been developed in CCS3.3.

I tried the option available in CCS8.3.1 under "Project" -----> "Import Legacy CCSv3.3 Projects",

The Error message being prompted in Console is as under:

Buildfile generation error occurred..

product 'XDAIS' v1.0.0 is not currently installed and no compatible version is available. Please install this product or compatible version.

Build stopped..

Kindly suggest and provide the link for downloading 'XDAIS' v1.0.0 .

Hello Sanjay,

Does your 3.3 project have a specific dependency on a particular version on XDAIS? Could you try disabling XDAIS in the products list and see if that helps? If unchecking the option causes build errors, please post the errors that appear in the build console.

I have disbled the XDAIS,

Next, I tried to re-built, The error message is : could not open source file "csl.h"

Kindly suggest.

Further:

I tried to install "C5500.exe from the link :

Now after Builld all: The error displayed is "No rule to make target "C:/CCStudio_v3.3/C5500/cgtools/lib/rts55x.lib, needed by "all".

Kindly Suggest.

You need to add the include search path to the location of the CSL includes directory. This can be done from the project build properties. You can use the path from CCS 3.3 (assuming you still have it installed)

<CCS INSTALL DIR>\C5500\csl\include

Note that CCSv8 does not come with the C55x build tools. You need to install it from the App Center. See the Warning in the below link:

Hi Ki,

As suggested by you, I again tried to do the Import Legacy conversion,

Can you please suggest for CCS: CCSV8.3.1 device: TMS320C5509A, Comipler version 4.4.1 is Ok or not ?

After clicking "Finish" the warning popped up is:

Issueswhich may require your attention were encountered while migrating the projects(S). Please see the 'project.log' in the root of each project, for details.

Kindly suggest is this ok ?

Where is the option Enable DSP/BIOS Tools ? is this required ?

After Bulid all: Erros popped up is as:

gmake: No rule to make target C:/CCStudio_v3.3/C5500/cgtools/lib/rts55x.lib, needed by all

Target all not remade because of errors.

Kindly suggest.

That is the last (and recommended) version of the C55x compiler
