CCS/CCSTUDIO: Windows firewall settings for CCSv10

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

My customer has problems with the CCSv10(10.1.0.00010) update feature.
They want to try to set up permissions for the Windows Firewall.

The figure below shows the properties of Windows Defendar after installing CCSv8.
(For some reason, it can see two "ccstudio" .)

When CCSv10 is installed, "ccstudio" does not appear in Windows Defender. How is the firewall individually configured for CCSv10?

Best Regards,
H.U

The list would show all CCS versions that was allowed access on the PC. If the customer checks the properties of those two instances, they may point to two different versions. Note that they may even reference versions that do not exist on the PC anymore

I believe when the application is first launched, there will be a prompt from Windows Defender regarding access. Once the user consents, it should be added. Note that I am not an expert on Windows Defender. However, Windows Defender seems to work pretty well with CCS as I have not heard many issues regarding it.

Is the customer having issues running CCS due to WIndows Defender blocking access?

    Thanks

  • Hi ki,

    Thank you for your reply.

Access to the CCS is not a problem. There is no access to update functions and App Center.

I see. Does Resource Explorer work? Or the Eclipse Marketplace?

Please also check the Proxy Settings in CCS.

    Thanks
