Hello,
I have the development board TMDS570LS31HDK.
CCS returns the following error message any time I debug:
Error connecting to the target:
(Error -241 @ 0x0)
A router subpath could not be accessed.
A security error has probably occurred.
Make sure your device is unlocked.
(Emulation package 8.4.0.00006)
The cable works, the drivers are installed and trying the same procedure with an other identical board works.
I tried to scan it with the Dbgjtag utility (Integrity check with reset and reset only); but the 241 error message appears anyway.
I tried to follow the procedure suggested in this post since the error was the same but with another HW; but after creating a configuration file, selecting the target and trying to connect as suggested unfortunately that error appears again and blocks me to continue with the indicated operations.
As last, I tried also with MPROG and the image of the device's eeprom as indicated here for the XDS100v2.
None of the above described operations was successful. Frankly speaking, I am quite surprised that a so expensive equipment (e.g. with respect to the Launchpads) can fail so easily.
Thanks ahead for a solution.
Regards.

This error usually occurs due to the device being locked. Please refer to the below link for more details on the error and for some suggestion on how to troubleshoot:

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
I looked at those links but all seem solved by intervention on the board (e.g. because invalid clock). I did not programmed the AJSM module at all.
Can I conclude it is a reversible HW failure or there is still some procedure that I can do via SW to unlock it?
Thanks!
Regards.
I will bring this thread to the attention of the device experts for further suggestions.
Thanks

Hello,
Is there any code running in the flash? Can you please try the steps in the following link:
Sorry for my late reply.
I could not solve in the same way indicated at the last message of the thread since I work with the TI dev kit and I cannot/don't want to disable the external oscillator.
Alternative solution, please? The dev kit lays otherwise useless but new. Claiming for the warranty I think is also an option since it was purchased on the last of April and I notified the problem on the 27th July by this post.
Please, let me know.
Regards.
Hello,
Was the board connected and programmed correctly before? Is there any code running in the MCU flash?
Can you please check if the D12 (next to FTDI chip) is turned on when the USB cable is plugged? If the D12 is not turned on, voltage regulator (U25, USB 5V to 3.3V) stops working and should be replaced.
