CCS/TM4C1294KCPDT: XDC_CG_ROOT Path Variable - how it is decided which xdc tool path to be used if there are multiple xdc tools are installed on the system.

Dear SupportTeam,

In our Project Properties, previously it showed "C:\ti\ccs901\xdctools_3_55_00_11_core" but it automatically changed to "C:\ti\xdctools_3_32_00_06_core" after executing "Rediscover" option. Why did this happen?

the "XDC_CG_ROOT" variable is set based on the XDCtools version specified in the General -> Products tab:

Somehow that setting got changed to 3.32.0.06, hence your XDC_CG_ROOT path changed also. I don't know why your XDCTools versions would get changed after you have CCS "rediscover" installed products. I was not able to reproduce this behavior but I am using a newer version of CCS (9.3.0) so it could have been a known issue that was fixed since then.

In any case, please check the XDCtools version in the General project properties and make sure it is set to the correct version.
