I need to program a TMS320F240 with a GAO XDS510 USB emulator. Apparently I can do this with Code Composer Studio 4, but I cant figure out how. Any help would be appreciated.

Code Composer Studio v4 does not support F24x. You will need to get the older CCSv3.3 tools. The C2000 version of CCSv3.3 is probably your best option. It supports both 24x and 28x.
