CCS/TMS320F28379D: Looking for a Way to Connect to a Running Target

Greetings,

I can connect to a target, load and run code. But is there any way to connect to a target which is already running? Will it disturb the processor?

I found that I also needed to go into the Debug Configurations and check "Load symbols only".
