CCS/CCSTUDIO: Error while updating CCS

Hi,

I've freshly installed CCS for the first time on my Mac. When using "Help > Check For Updates", I get the message "No update found", but also a couple of Java Error messages (see attached screenshot). What could be the reason for this and how can I fix this?

Hi Ki,

my workspace unfortunately, that's not my situation. My workspace is just the default /Users/todi/workspace_v10

Any idea on how to further investigate into this?

Which macOS and CCS versions are you using?

macOS version 10.15.5 and CCS version 10.1.0.00010

Thanks. Sorry for the delay, it took some time to set up this environment (I had to obtain a mac laptop and install Catalina).

I can reproduce the issue. There seems to be one update site that is causing the issue. I'm not sure why that site exists because it is not necessary.

Can you got to 'Help -> Install New Software' and see if the below option exists for you?

If so, then that is the cause. I see it with my freshly installed CCS 10.1 installation. You can use the "Manage" button to disable/remove it.

Hi Ki,

thanks for taking care of this (and have fun with the new laptop ;-)! After deleting this entry, I don't get any error messages anymore.

Great! Thanks for confirming. I will let the engineers know about this entry so that they can remove it for future releases

I wish it was new! But is an older (2014) hand-me-down laptop that I was able to obtain from someone else who upgraded theirs.
