CCS/TMS320LF2407A: Need to evaluate CCS V3

Hello,

We need to debug a legacy system in the field that uses the TMS320LF2407A.  It is my understanding that CCS V3 is the last version to support this device.

How can I download an evaluation of CCS V3 to make sure it will get the job done for us (before potentially purchasing it)?

    Bob,

    Unfortunately we do not have an evaluation version of CCSv3.3 for 24x.

    Was the system originally developed by your company or someone else?  If it was originally developed by your company then licenses would have been purchased at that time.

    We're just being brought in now, so we don't have a license. 

    We're reluctant to buy a license in case it's the wrong tool or it won't work as expected.    Is there a way to get a temporary license?

    Bob,

    Does the company that is bringing you in have a license that can be transferred?

    There are no temporary licenses for this software.  Basically there is a royalty associated with that old toolset that we pay when we distribute it, that is why we charge for it.  We don't have license fees for newer versions of Code Composer Studio (which don't have the item that is subject to the royalty).  Unfortunately newer versions do not support 24x.

    If you need a way to connect to a 24x system via JTAG and debug the application then you will need an XDS510 JTAG debugger and CCSv3.3 for C2000.
