Hi,

I have created some custom run time library and using TI based flash api library. Now I need to create different linker sections in the linker command file. Is there any way or any primer or document to get some idea how to get started writing the linker file.

Or in any other way if you could help.

Hi George,
I have specified the load start and load end address for the ramfuncs section. One thing I couldn't understand is where the value of the symbol _RamfuncsLoadStart should be mentioned in the linker file. what is the syntax of writing this address??

ramfuncs : LOAD = FLASHD,
RUN = RAML0,
LOAD_START(_RamfuncsLoadStart),
LOAD_END(_RamfuncsLoadEnd),
RUN_START(_RamfuncsRunStart)

Most C2000Ware example projects execute a source line similar to this one during system setup ...

 memcpy(&RamfuncsRunStart, &RamfuncsLoadStart, (uint32_t)&RamfuncsLoadSize);

This copies the functions in the ramfuncs output section from flash to RAM. It must occur before any of those functions are called. Search for this code, or code similar to it, in the C2000Ware example you use.
