Compiler: LM3S9B92

Dear All,

I'm working on LM3S9B92 and created a project using 1)TI_arm Compiler and generated a binary file for target device(LM3S9B92). After loading the file into the target file. It doesn't perform computation as needed or desired. 2) Used ARM compiler to generate binary file and upload into target device LM3S9B92. It doesn't work or performs as desired computation.

What do you all think? Does Compiler matters for the targeted device?

Hello Sai,

LM3S9B92 is an obsolete device and should not be used for any new product development. We will not provide support for the use of this device in any new project situation. If you have an existing project for the device, please reference your existing project setup in CCS.

Otherwise, you should migrate to our TM4C portfolio: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spma035

With TM4C MCUs we offer our TivaWare SDK that will have example projects pre-built with all the right settings: https://www.ti.com/tool/SW-TM4C

Hello Sai,

I am not really familiar with GCC, can you provide more information about what you are trying to do?

I have no idea what that linker script file should be doing.

What are you trying to do with this existing project?

Hello Jacobi,

I'm working on existing project done by previous engineers 5 years ago. I have to rebuild the source files and generate the binary files.

Currently, I'm using GNU v9.2.1 to compile and generate binary file. I hope this helps for you.
