Hi,

I have a CCS project where I want to set some breakpoints to test the correct behavior of the source code. By now I'm able to use just hardware breakpoints that are limited, so I want to know if is possible to enable the use of Software Breakpoints if I'm using this processor SM320F28335 DSC and the version of code composer that I need to use is 6.2.0.00050
If this is possible can you please give me the steps to enable them?

Hello Stephanie,

If the CCS debugger memory map is configured correctly, the debugger should use the optimal breakpoint type depending on the memory type (software breakpoint for RAM and hardware breakpoint for flash). If you are trying to set breakpoints in flash, a hardware breakpoint must be used.
