CCS/CC2652R: Inquiries related to CC2652R1 module RF output control.

Part Number: CC2652R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi, TI expert

The customer has an inquiry regarding the control of the RF output of the CC2652R1 module.

For RF control, SmartRF Studio7 refers to the TxPower register value table corresponding to each output as shown in the figure below, and at the code level, the table automatically created by the SYSCONFIG program is being used.

However, it is not possible to control the level for the middle value of the table such as specific TxPower (-1, -2, -4, -7, -8, -11, -13, -14, -16, -17, -19).

[Questions]

1) Is it possible to arbitrarily change the TxPower register value and control it with the Tx Power not indicated in the output table?

2) Can I check the register value corresponding to the above specific TxPower (-1, -2, -4, -7, -8, -11, -13, -14, -16, -17, -19)?

Please answer me.

Thank you.

  • Hi,

Q1: No, those levels are fixed. You have to use PA table from SmartRF Studio. The resolution is 3dB from 0 through -20dBm.

Q2: Register value is not available to the middle values. The accuracy may not be good enough.

    Thanks,
