CCS: TMS320C32 replacement and CCS compatibility

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello Guys,

Good day,

Our customer have a TMS320C32 (obsolete), residing on their PCB. This DSP has a certified code per DO-178 loaded on it and they believe the code has been developed by TI Code Composer (year 2010).

If they use the code composer on the link below, to compile and link their code, , will this result in a different outcome ? will the CRC be the same ?

Thanks to confirm!

Code Composer 4.x would be the last version of the tools that supported C3x. This version I believe came out in 1998.

Unless the environment is completely IDENTICAL (CC and compiler versions are the same, Windows OS version, etc), there is no guarantee that the CRC will be EXACTLY the same (though that doesn't mean that the code won't run as expected).

    Thanks
