CCS/TMS570LS0432: --cinit_compression=rle does not work

Dear team,

I use --cinit_compression=rle in .cmd file. But it shows compression = zero_init in map file. It seems that --cinit_compression=rle does not work.

Please help.

CCS version: CCS9.3
compiler version: 18.12.4

LINKER GENERATED COPY TABLES

The records you point out in the linker map file are not related to compression of the .data section that forms the .cinit section. These records, instead, zero fill the .bss section.
