Hi team,

my customer use CCS to compile their code, but the code size is out of CCS limit. customer's code will exceed 16k. We would like to know how to do this if the code size larger than 16k. do you have license can share to customer ? thanks.

What version of Code Composer Studio is the customer using? It has been quite a long time since we have had code size limits. I am assuming they are using MSP430?

One option for them would be to use a newer version of CCS. We do not charge for CCS licenses and they can freely download the latest version.

If they are not comfortable with changing versions then they could downlad the full image of the same version from the download page and use the license that is at the top of the page that can be used to unlock CCSv4, v5 or v6.

Hello Betty,

It sounds like the customer is using an old version of CCS when we had a code size limit on the linker. I would recommend updating their CCS version to the latest one.

If they insist on using an old version, they can get a full license for it from:

https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccs_downloads.html#free-license-for-older-versions

After discussing this further, the customer may have a specific CCS install that only has the code size limited linker. They will need to install a version without the limit. I suggest a more recent version but they can also download old versions from:

https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccs_downloads.html
