Hello,

I am a university student and I am new to ti and CCS. I want to start a clock and at some point, I want to get the remaining time. And I can't find any example code. And also can someone explain the output of Clock_getTicks().

Hello Sahan,

For General Purpose Timer operation, please refer to GPTimerCC26XX.h from the TI Driver Runtime APIs. For the Clock module please refer to the TI-RTOS Kernel Runtime API's ti.sysbios.knl.Clock information (Clock_getTicks returns time in clock ticks). The TI-RTOS Kernel clock example is also available.

Can you explain what is the actual time in time in clock ticks. Is it gives time in miliseconds.

Hello,

In my code i used 2 clocks.

Clock_start(Clock_handle(&sampleClock);

Clock_start(Clock_handle(&testClock);

Time = Clock_getTicks();

I want to get the time in sampleClock and testClock separately.

CC13xx/CC26xx devices have a system tickPeriod of 10 microseconds, so for example setting a timeout value of 5000 would last 5000 ticks or 50 ms. You can use Clock_getTimeout to return the remaining time of an active clock instance (zero otherwise). You can use Clock_getTicks for system time.
