C6000 CGT Update in CCS4

Hello,

I am trying to update my code generation tools for C6000 via update advisor in CCS4, but no available updates for cgt are shown. It doesn't matter if I log in as admin or as normal user. The actual and only installed cgt version is 6.1.9. CCS4 is installed in E:/Programme/Texas Instruments/ on a Windows XP PC.

Any idea whats going wrong?

Looks like you have CCS 4.0.0 installed. For that version, only CCS Updates, Spectrum Digital Emulation Updates and Blackhawk Emulation Updates were available through the Update Manager. Please take a look at this page for details: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Updating_CCS

You have a couple of options to get updates your C6000 code generation tools:
- follow the links on the above wiki page to get to the compiler tools download page
- download and install the latest version of CCS 4.2.1 from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS which will then allow updates of all components directly from within CCS update manager.
