CCS: New emulation pack v3.0.0.14 for xds110 breaks memory view

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Trying to connect to TMS570 (big endian) device via xds110 emulator. CCS made me update the emulation driver for XDS110 to 3.0.0.14 before connecting.

All memory now appears to be little-endian upon connecting. No Flash memory operation is possible after that.

How do I roll back the emulation pack update?

Installed CCS again (update to the latest version was pending for a while anyway) and am not updating the TI emulation pack.

So, I am back to being able to work.

Please fix the emulation pack updates related to xds110 as this is very critical.

There was certainly some regression with the latest EMU Pack. I will raise the priority on this one.

Hi Ki,

Thanks! Can the TI EMU pack update be pulled so that customers do not make the updates? Or we have to release another update ASAP, else there will be a flood of posts from customers having these issues with Flash verification, memory endianness appearing switched etc.

Please keep this thread open until the resolution is defined and posted.

Just to clarify, the issue is with EMU Pack 9.2.1.00042, not firmware 3.0.0.14 (though EMU Pack 9.2.1.00042 requires the XDS110 firmware to be updated to 3.0.014).

The update has been disabled for now until we can resolve this issue.
